Honeycomb hexagonal structure of Structured Water

Structured Water, the water you didn't know existed, is increasingly shown to possess profound healing properties, challenging conventional understandings of health, healing and disease.

This assertion, once considered radical, is now supported by extensive research into the "fourth phase" of water, known also as Exclusion Zone or Structured Water.

As a practitioner dedicated to uncovering the root causes of persistent health issues, I've observed first-hand how understanding and supporting this fundamental aspect of cellular life can be truly transformative.

For decades, we've been taught that water exists in just three states:

1.     liquid,

2.     solid (ice), and

3.     vapour.

However, the work of Professor Gerald Pollack, a biomedical engineer and editor-in-chief of the Journal Water, building on the pioneering ideas of Dr. Gilbert Ling, has revealed a fourth phase - Structured Water.

What is it? Structured water is an ordered, hexagonal, gel-like array of water molecules (a bit like honey comb) that forms next to hydrophilic (water-loving) surfaces.  Hydrophilic surfaces are abundant inside every cell of your body, including proteins, lipids (fats), and nucleic acids. Its hexagonal structure, even in a gel, is one of the reasons our bodies have form.

A remarkable feature of Structured Water is its inherent negative electrical charge.  This is very surprising since we learned at school that water has no overall charge with a formula H2O.  But Structured Water has an additional electron and a structure H3O2 giving it a negative electrical charge.  This is fundamentally different to H2O and behaves differently.  The negative charge effectively excludes solutes and protons, creating a region of positively charged protons beyond the Structured layer.

What does that mean to us?  This charge separation means that the water within your cells can function like a biological battery, capable of supplying energy. But how does the Structured Water maintain the charge and its ability to expand the quantity of Structured water molecules? The source of this energy is primarily provided in the form of infrared light but see below for other sources.

The implications for health are profound. Our cells are packed with Structured Water, and its presence is absolutely essential for proper cellular function. It plays a critical role in:

  • Cellular Function and Energy Production: Proteins, which carry out almost all cellular activities, are surrounded by Structured water. The correct folding of these proteins depends on this structured environment. Without sufficient Structured water, proteins may misfold, and the consequence of misfolds is known to be contributory to diseases like dementia, Parkinson’s, Huntingdon’s to name just three. The energy generated by this water battery is a foundational aspect of vitality.

  • Minerals absorption:  Nutrients, vitamins and minerals need to move into cells for creation, maintenance, energy production.  Pollack’s work shows that it is structured water that achieves this.

  • Immune system strength: Structured Water is crucial for removal of toxins, and delivery of nutrients where they are needed.  The negative charge of the structured water helps these to cross the barrier it creates.  By efficient removal of waste (toxins) immunity is strengthened.

  • Optimal Circulation: Structured water's negative charge creates frictionless surfaces within the body, enabling fluids within the body to move smoothly.  This includes blood flow.  Red blood cells are also negatively charged, thus repel each other like little magnates, and the negatively charged Structured water lining the blood capillary walls assists this. This repulsion from the structured water effectively pushes the red blood cells along, preventing 'sticky blood' and thrombi (clot) formation, especially in the context of inflammation.

  • Synovial fluid, discs and cartilage: good hydration in these areas is essential for lubrication and nourishment.  Structured water is key here as it will reduce friction and wear between two hard surfaces as well as being the conduit for removal of toxic waste which can otherwise build up.

  • Pollutants and detoxification: Structured water's ability to exclude solutes and particles suggests a key role in cellular detoxification, pushing away unwanted substances at a microscopic level.

  • Protection Against Disease, including Cancer: Research indicates that healthy cells maintain a robust negative electrical potential, largely due to abundant Structured water. In stark contrast, cancer cells consistently exhibit a significantly lower electrical potential, implying a shortage of Structured water. This sustained low potential is linked to uncontrolled cell division, a hallmark of cancer. Essentially, a lack of Structured water means cancer cells cannot function normally and are instead stuck in a state that promotes relentless mitosis. This understanding suggests that rebuilding Structured water could be a crucial therapeutic strategy to increase cellular electrical potential, inhibit rampant cell division, and potentially reverse or prevent cancer.

This emerging science has profound implications for how we approach health. Rather than viewing the body as a collection of isolated systems, we can see water as a central, dynamic player. The body has an innate intelligence, and by supporting the conditions for Structured water formation, we align with its natural healing mechanisms.

Practical Strategies for Empowering Your Cellular Water

There are several actionable strategies to build and maintain robust Structured water in your cells, many of which can be easily integrated into a busy lifestyle:

  1. Quality Water Intake: While quantity is important, the quality of water you drink matters profoundly. Drinking plenty of water provides the raw material for Structured water formation. Consider enhancing your water with a pinch of mineral-rich salt to add essential minerals to nourish the cells.

  2. Strategic Nutrition:

Sulphur-Rich Foods: Sulphate is critical for maintaining Structured water's negative charge. Incorporate foods such as:

■      Free-range eggs

■      garlic

■      cruciferous vegetables

■      Supplements like MSM, and N-Acetyl Choline (NAC) can also be highly beneficial.

■      Bathing with Epsom Salts is a simple, inexpensive and effective way to improve sulphur in the body.

  • Iodine: Lugol's Iodine 15% is identified as a health-promoting agent and is powerfully anti-inflammatory and anti-allergy.

  • Vitamin C: Daily intake of vitamin C (up to 5 grams) is important for connective tissue health and has anti-inflammatory and anti-pathogenic properties.

  • Eating water-rich vegetables: Freshly grown plants contain abundant intracellular Structured water. Examples include cucumbers, tomatoes, squash.  Eating them is believed to directly infuse your body with this structured water. Of course they also contain plenty of polyphenols and trace minerals, which are needed by cells and are delivered with the help of Structured Water.

  • Specific Health-Promoting Foods: Several substances are believed to expand Structured water, including Tulsi (holy basil), turmeric, coconut water, and ghee.

  • Paleo-Ketogenic Diet & Healthy Fats: Cell membranes, where structured water forms, are built from quality fats. A diet rich in unprocessed saturated fats (like lard, butter, ghee, coconut oil) supports optimal membrane structure and thus structured water creation.

  1. Harnessing Energy Sources – necessary to maintain Structured Water’s negative charge:

    • Sunshine: About half of the sun's energy is in the infrared spectrum, which directly builds Structured water. Even 15 minutes of mindful morning sunlight exposure can make a difference.

    • Saunas: Saunas generate abundant heat, which is essentially infrared energy, thereby increasing Structured water in your cells.  With the action of structured water expelling toxins, more toxins will reach the skin surface, so it is important to shower at the end of a sauna to wash those toxins off.

    • Grounding/Earthing: Connecting your body electrically to the negatively charged Earth (e.g., walking barefoot on wet grass) allows electrons to flow into your body, which may help build Structured water.

  1. Fasting: Adopting time-restricted eating or occasional longer fasts can promote ketosis and autophagy (cellular spring-cleaning), which support overall cellular health and Structured water formation.

By systematically identifying and implementing these structured water-supporting strategies, you can begin to experience profound shifts.

  • ·      Energy levels can improve

  • ·      mental clarity can sharpen

  • ·      your body's innate capacity for healing is profoundly supported.

This perspective is not about quick fixes but about better understanding how our bodies work and then using that knowledge and wisdom to transform your experience from merely coping to truly thriving, with the clarity, resilience, and sustained energy to excel in all areas of life.

It's time to reclaim your vitality by focusing on the water that makes up most of who you are.
